Natural gas engine combustion characteristics on the oil performance requirements

The engine exhaust temperature is 100℃-150℃ higher than that of diesel engine, which requires higher oxidation resistance and anti-nitrification of engine oil; high heat load requires that the viscosity of engine oil movement should not be too high to ensure good cooling performance.
The sulfur content of natural gas is lower than the sulfur content in diesel oil, requiring the oil to have low alkali value.
The use of oxygen sensor requires zinc and phosphorus content to be ≤300ppm to prevent oxygen sensor and catalytic converter poisoning.
Comprehensive valve lubrication and piston carbon problem, natural gas engine needs to use medium ash engine oil.
    a. The reasons for the decrease in power of natural gas vehicles are due to the decrease in the inflation factor and the lower engine compression ratio.
    b. The cause of early engine wear is due to the presence of trace sulfides in natural gas.
    c. Measures to increase the power of natural gas engines are mainly intake boosting, increasing the engine compression ratio and using special natural gas engine lubricants.
    d. ways to prevent corrosion and early wear include natural gas desulfurization, use of corrosion-resistant materials for engine construction and use of special natural gas engine lubricants.
    e. The use of dedicated natural gas engine lubricating oil is an easy, economical and effective measure to increase power and prevent both corrosion and early wear of the engine.
