So far, most humans use flame combustion, but scientific research shows that the traditional flame combustion method has low thermal efficiency and heavy pollution, which restricts the development of our economy. The fundamental way to solve the inefficiency and high emission of flame combustion is catalytic combustion.
In this study, based on the progress made in rare earth oxygen storage materials, high temperature resistant high specific surface materials and natural gas combustion catalysts, a monolithic catalyst was designed to enable complete combustion of natural gas. Cordierite honeycomb ceramics were used as the substrate, and the catalyst coating consisted of high performance rare earth oxygen storage materials, active components and additives. The results show that the catalyst maintains high activity after high temperature aging, indicating that the catalyst has good stability.
